Program Description

Pipeline systems represent significant financial investment and constitute a key element of the industrial and public value chain. Offshore pipelines are the arteries of the offshore industry and around the world more than 180,000 km are in service. Part of almost every project, they often form a large component of project cost. The course will provide a complete and up-to-date coverage of the subject, and will take participants through predesign and route selection, detailed design, construction, operation and maintenance. The course is extensively illustrated by case studies.

Pipeline Mechanical Design: Pressures, Wall thickness Design, Pressure Containment, Collapse & Propagation Buckling

TASK- Wall thickness Design.

Day-3

Route Selection:
Recap, Seabed Survey, Met Ocean Data, Route Selection.

TASK- Route Survey.

In- place Design: Local Buckling, Global buckling Assessment.          

TASK- Global Buckling Design

Day-4

Free Span Assessment.

Installation Design:
